Haupy's Beaver Rub Recipes
Haupy's Beaver Rub Recipes
Use Haupy's Beaver Rub on you favourite meat. Drizzle your slab with your favourite cooking oil and smear evenly. Simply sprinkle Beaver Rub on the meat, and gently rub it in. Allow it to soak in for 2 to 24 hours. Although HBR adds immediate flavour, allowing the Beaver Rub to mature on your meat will maximize flavour and aroma! We recommend about one teaspoon on each side of an average steak, pork chop, fillet, or chicken breast. Add salt to taste if desired. This technique is great on beef, pork, chicken, lamb, ribs, fish, turkey, and any wild game and, of course, beaver meat as well! Why simply season your meat when you can rub it!
Use "the Mop" as a basting liquid on oven baked meats or when Bar-B-Qing your favourite slab on a rotisserie. Apply with a brush out of a bowl, or use a squeeze bottle for convenience. Re-apply every fifteen to twenty minutes. "The Mop" can be stored in the fridge for future use, and it keeps your meat moist!
Use half of a can of your favourite beer (drink the other half!), and add the same amount of your favourite barbeque sauce. Then add one table spoon of Haupy's Beaver Rub, mix gently, and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes.
This recipe calls for:
To create this fantastic chicken or fish fillet coating, mix the corn flakes, flour, salt, pepper and Beaver Rub together. Then, whip the egg into a fluffy mixture, and dip the fish or chicken in it. Then take the moistened fish or chicken and coat them in the dry mix. Fry to your liking in a hot pan. And don't forget: eggs shells are not part of this recipe! Alternatively, feel free to simply sprinkle Beaver Rub on your fish fillets or chicken prior to cooking.
One of Haupy's favourites! You will need:
Put olive oil, squash, garlic and minced ginger into a pot. Now add Haupy's world famous Beaver Rub. Mix together and saute on medium heat. When the mixture becomes hot, stir for another 5 minutes then add enough boiling water (from a kettle) to cover, and bring to boil on medium heat. Cook until the squash becomes soft. Mash squash with a potato masher in a pot, leaving it as chunky or thin as you like. Add more water if needed. Then add the chicken broth to taste. You can thicken the soup with corn starch or flour if desired, but this will probably not be necessary. Add a can of corn. Garnish the soup with chopped green onion, parsley, or minced red pepper. Delicious!
Ingredient you will require are:
Mix all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Once mixed, add onions and bacon and stir together. Crack the egg and oil into a measuring cup and wisk with a fork. Pour in beer until the 1 cup line is reached, and drink the remainder! Now add the cup of liquid into the mixing bowl and stir all of the ingredients together until the liquid is absorbed. Mix gently! Over fondling the dough mix will make the bread tough! Your may need to coat dough ball with more flour for easier handling. Place the dough ball on wax paper and roll the dough out into a cylindrical shape about a foot long. Cut up into "little pucks" with a sharp knife, and fry in a hot pan with oil over medium heat. Cook until golden brown then flip for the same. Cooking time varies with thickness. Serve up hot with a skiff of butter or awesome with hummus. Bannock bliss!
Guaranteed the best salmon sandwiches you have ever had! You will need:
Drain the liquid from the cans of salmon (use Skeena River Sockeye for best results), and scrape away any visible skin and bones off of the salmon. In a bowl, chop the salmon into small chunks with a fork, and add a dollop of M. W. dressing. Add the chopped onions and a teaspoon of Haupy's Beaver Rub. Mix the mixture clockwise (counter-clockwise if you are in the southern hemisphere!) in the bowl only until the ingredients are just mixed -- do not over stir! You want the salmon to be a little chunky.
Grab two slices of your favourite bread, and slather each with half of the marvelous mixture. Fresh cracked pepper would be an optional nice touch at this point. As an added bonus option, cover the mixture with sliced sweet pickles (like Yum-Yums), top with another slice of bread, pick up with two hands, open mouth, bite, chew, and enjoy! You'll never make salmon sandwiches any other way again. Works with tuna too!
Ingredient you will require are:
Take the four table spoons of all purpose flour and one teaspoon of Haupy's Beaver Rub and mix it all together. Cut the bacon in half lengths, then coat the bacon slices in the dry mixture. Fry the bacon in a pan over medium heat, or bake in the oven at 350 F. This also keeps the bacon from shrinking too much. Pretty good, eh?
